The first guestbook at the summit of Møysalen

Møysalen is the highest mountain in Vesterålen and Lofoten. And for the many climbing enthusiasts, Møysalen has been both a challenge and an experience. 

From the summit, 1262 metres above sea level, one can scan a panorama that streches to Senja, Kebnekaise in Sweden, Landego off Bodø, and to the outermost Lofoten islands. No one knows who the first person was to stand on this legendary summit, or when. It has the outward appearance of a gigantic banquet hall. This was the hall of the troll maidens - Møyene - who were turned to stone and still stand today just outside the hall.
