The village of Bleik - We harvest the sea |

The bay with the bright shore |

The Old Norse world "bleikr" means light, or white. The impressive chalkwhite shoreline north of the farm was probably what gave the village of Bleik its name. |

Originally,
the beach area north of Bleik was considerably larger than it is today.
The sand dune landscape is dotted with mounds two to three metres high,
and the shifting sands can be seen all the way to the top of the Røyken
Mountain. |
